Wynonna Judd shines at final tribute concert for late mother Naomi

Wynonna Judd glowed in black at Thursday night’s The Judds: Love Is Alive final concert in honor of her late mother, Naomi Judd.

Wynonna, who has worn black in many public appearances since her mother’s death in April, wore black from head to toe, matching a blouse featuring fringe detailing with velvet bell bottoms. While on the carpet, she paired the look with sparkly dusters, rounded out the ensemble with lace gloves, and let her trademark wavy red locks dangle underneath.

On stage, Wynonna swapped her glitter and lace numbers for a bell-sleeved top.

The concert, held at Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was attended by many national greats, including Brandi Carlisle, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Ashley McBride, Kelsey Ballerini, and Naomi .

A concert special has been filmed and is scheduled to air next March on CMT.

Just last month, the 58-year-old country singer stopped by “Today” for an interview and performance, and she opened up and burst into tears over a new song she’s writing called “Broken and Blessed.” . Wynonna said her current emotional state is “somewhere between hell and hallelujah.”

“These shows heal me, one show at a time. All my friends are coming,” she shared with host Hoda Kotb. It’s like the best party you can throw.”

Wynonna said she was thrilled to see “up to four generations” of fans at her performance. This is a celebration of life.

As ET previously reported, Naomi, one half of one of the most successful country duos in music history, The Judds, died in April of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the age of 76. Fame, just one day after her death.

Shortly after, Wynonna confirmed she would continue with the planned Judds: Final Tour on her own, saying it was what her mother wanted. it was done.

“I am incredibly overwhelmed,” Wynonna said of the outpouring of support from the country music community. “It’s like a funeral when the whole family is there, but you can’t do it any other way. Sometimes it’s the hardest thing to attend.”

As she makes her way from show to show, Winona said she’s been on an emotional roller coaster.

“I cry and go straight to the next song,” she shared, revealing that she always keeps a box of tissues handy.

“It’s fun,” she added. “I’m real, I’m broken, I’m blessed, I’m cocky, I’m crying, I’m humming songs, but thousands of people are showing up to celebrate with me.”
