Procurement

The flotation cell supply contract was awarded to BGRIMM Machinery and Technology Co Ltd in Beijing, China. The production of the flotation cell was completed, and the factory acceptance test was successfully conducted on January 25th.th-26th, 2022. Packing is in progress and shipping is scheduled to depart Tianjin on March 15.th2022.

Finland’s Metso Outotec Corporation supplies flotation concentrates and water recovery thickeners. Started manufacturing work and parts procurement. The trial is scheduled for April 12thth, 2022 and thickeners will be delivered to the site in May / June 2022. The thickener has a segmented / bolted design that can be quickly assembled after it is received in the field. It doesn’t take long to complete the installation on time.

The flotation concentrate filter press is supplied by McClanahan Corporation (“McClanahan”), Pennsylvania, USA. All equipment parts have been ordered and production is expected to be completed in March 2022. The filter press assembly will be completed on April 7th.thShipped April 12th It will be delivered to the site in May / June 2022.

Other outsourced equipment includes, but is not limited to: A 50% complete slurry pump, shipping is scheduled for May 9th.thIn 2022, the Afromix Agitator will be completed and will arrive in Port Klang, Malaysia on March 28th.th, 2022. Froth flotation blowers and compressors have been ordered, are 30% complete and in progress, and are scheduled for delivery on May 27.th, 2022. A containerized MCC switchroom design, manufacturing, delivery, and test run contract has been signed and is scheduled for delivery on May 13.th, 2022. A purchase order for concentrated samplers and helical rotor reagent pumps has also been issued. Production was in progress for both orders. The production of 11kV / 415V transformers was reported to be 100% complete.

Involvement of major construction contractors

A dedicated project team has been completed and consists of project managers, assistant project managers, lead engineers, senior engineers, electrical engineers, procurement engineers, and workers. The project team oversees the construction work.

Song Heng has been appointed as the prime contractor. They had previously undertaken construction work to build and expand a Selinsing gold processing plant for the past decade. They commissioned a refurbishment of the CITIC ball mill in 2009 as part of a first-stage gravity-only process plant. Then, in 2010, the phase 2 carbon of the leachate circuit was constructed and commissioned. In 2012, we built / commissioned a new CITIC ball mill and three new leachate tanks for Phase 3 plant expansion.Song Heng received a certificate on the start date of January 12thth2022, contract period 6 months, completion date July 7th2022.

R & D work

The completed pilot plant consists of a ball mill and classifier, a coarse / scavenger flotation cell, and a three-stage cleaner flotation. (Fig. 3). A 1 ton sample of transition ore was crushed in a laboratory fine jaw crusher until it passed 100% 2 mm and fed to a pilot plant ball mill. Samples were processed using the same reagent regime planned for a full-scale plant. A total of 50 kg of flotation concentrate was produced and this sample was sent to McClanahan for filter press testing. The antimony leaching test was conducted to support the marketing activities of gold concentrate.

Civil engineering foundation work

Song Heng was mobilized to the scene on January 22ndnd, 2022, started delivery of reinforcing bars (reinforcing bars), reinforcing bar bending devices, formwork, HDPE piping, and fusion splicers. A temporary benchmark has been set for the tie-in of the survey.

Civil engineering foundation work is underway along with the retaining wall extension work. The final excavation was completed, the rebar and formwork were installed, and the first concrete injection was made on February 17th.th, 2022 (Fig. 4). To date, the retaining wall has been extended by 50%. Work in this area will continue in parallel with the foundation of the new reagent mixed building, followed by civil engineering work for concentrates and water recovery thickeners, reagent warehouses and filter press buildings. Structural steel and tank production is underway at the Songchen workshop.

Other contractors working at construction sites rewired HV power cables to primary and secondary ball mills, connected power and communication cables to the project office, performed plate bearing tests on the plant footprint, and performed plate bearing tests. We tested the soil resistance of the new transformer. ..

Transition to flotation

Dry commissioning of the new flotation plant and related equipment is scheduled to begin on June 1.st, After 2022. CIL plant will continue to operate until June 30th, 2022.Frothation plant tie-in and wet test runs will begin on July 1ststContinues until July 14, 2022th, 2022. The ore test run is scheduled to begin on July 15.th, 2022. The gold remaining in the circuit is recovered by emptying the leachate and CIL tank slurry, placing the harvested carbon in a bag and later elution. The elution circuit will continue to operate for approximately one month after the CIL plant shuts down.
