MLB reporter Kelsey Wingert was hospitalized after being hit in the head with a foul ball at 95 mph.

Kelsey Wingert is recovering this week after being taken to the hospital when he was hit in the head with a 95 mph foul ball during the Colorado Rockies game.

A Major League Baseball reporter shared a photo of her stitches on Twitter, writing that the Rockies team and everyone at AT & T SportsNet were there a lot for her.

She also shared that she had to do both internal and external bleeding for a large lump on her forehead, although she did not have any fractures or internal bleeding on a CT scan.

“I have never experienced this kind of support,” she writes. “Thank you for your prayers.”

according to Yahoo! SportsThe incident occurred during the nine innings of the game when Giants player Austin Slater hit a foul ball from Rockies pitcher Daniel Bard.

Wingert was sitting near the first-case camera at the time and was immediately treated on-site before being taken to the hospital.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time Wingert has been hit with a foul ball. In 2018, she was hit by a line drive while standing in front of the camera near Dougout on first base, breaking her eye socket.
