The three-week campaign’s first event of the holiday season will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Officers will be at Walmart in Stratford and Canadian Tire in St. Marys where “we will be stuffing our cruisers full of toys to help ensure that all children in our community wake up on Christmas morning with a gift,” Const. Darren Fischer said in a press release.

The annual campaign will support the Stratford House of Blessing and the local branch of the Salvation Army with more than just toys this year, Fischer added.

On Dec. 3 at Zehrs in Stratford and Your Independent Grocer in St. Marys, police will be collecting food donations too, Fischer said. The Stuff-a-Cruiser food drive will continue in Stratford Dec. 10  at Food Basics, No Frills, Sobeys and Giant Tiger.

“We look forward to seeing you at these events over the next several weekends and appreciate all the amazing support received every year,” Fischer said.
