Mike Yo and Jeremy Colliton join the Canax organization as coaching

Vancouver Canucks announced a number of changes to coach staff on Friday, with former NHL head coaches Mike Yeo and Jeremy Colliton joining the organization.

At the NHL level, Yeo and Trent Cull will join the bench as assistant coaches with head coach Bruce Boudreau. Yo came to Canax from the Flyers and was promoted to interim head coach after Alain Vinho was fired last season.

Cal was the head coach of AHL’s Abbotsford Canux last season. His promotion will make an opening in that position and Coryton will come as Abbotsford’s new head coach. Colliton coached the Chicago Blackhawks as part of the four seasons before being fired last season, and was also part of Canada’s leadership staff at the Beijing Olympics earlier this year.

“I’m very excited to help bring this group of coaches together,” Budlow said. “When I started talking to Mike Yo, it turned out that he would be a great addition. Working with (general manager Patrick Allbin) to create a balanced staff is It was very important for us to continue building. With the momentum of last season. “

In addition to these moves, Canax has announced that assistant coach Bradshaw will leave the organization to join the Flyers as an assistant to John Tortorella’s staff.
