After the game, coach Sheldon Keef said Liery will need to undergo further tests on Tuesday to determine the severity of the injury.

Riley went down in the neutral zone after foot contact. He quickly skated to the locker room to miss Toronto’s remaining 3–2 overtime loss.

The Leafs defense is already short with Jake Mazin (cervical spine injury) and TJ Brody (diagonal) both out.

The 28-year-old Lily has scored no goals and has 16 assists in 20 games this season.
