Magnitude 4.8 quake hits near Tofino, felt as far as Courtenay
A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck about 34 kilometers northwest of Tofino on Friday night (November 25) and was felt throughout the island, including the Comox Valley.
According to Canada Earthquake, the earthquake occurred at 7:50 pm.
No tsunami warning was detected.
Many took to social media to share their feelings about the ruckus, including MLA’s Josie Osbourne.
