Luxton Fall Fair returns with a weekend of fun – Victoria News

Celebrating its 112th year, the Luxton Fall Fair returns this weekend. Despite the threat of clouds and rain, that didn’t stop the fun of taking the midway rides on the first night.

The fair kicked off on Friday afternoon, with rides, games and food courtesy of West Coast Amusement, and the fun was built into the weekend only. The entire fair takes place on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7pm and noon to 6pm respectively.

In addition to rides, this year will feature everything from demonstrations, blacksmithing, 4H club animal shows, and antique farm equipment with lots of local food.

The ground was relatively quiet on Friday, but the constant stream of people arriving quickly filled it with smiles and cheers.

The organizers don’t know what this year’s attendance numbers will be, but they expect a good amount of latent demand for everything the fair has to offer, and they expect it to be as big as the spring edition. We are expecting a gathering of people.

Admission is free, but ride wristbands are $45 a day and ticket books are $25-45. Each ride requires 3-7 tickets without wristbands.

This year, the fairgrounds parking lot has changed and the entrance is off Highway 14 across from Ronald Road, but will still be donated.
