Luther Court Community Health Center expands with 7 new hires
The Luther Court Community Health Center has expanded its staff to fill the new space at its Ceder Hill Cross Road site.
The center, which primarily serves the Shelbourne, Gordon Head and Oak Bay areas, has hired seven new health care workers, including family physicians, nurses, nurses and community health coordinators.
The recruits aim to fill gaps in the system, especially for those with complex needs, the elderly, and those with mental health or addiction issues.
Karen Johnson-Lefsrud, CEO of the Luther Court Society, said in a statement that the expansion will allow the center to serve more patients, having served 2,732 patients since opening in March. said it would be possible.

Onboarding also includes support staff and primary healthcare directors.
New renovations include reception and waiting areas, counseling rooms, examination rooms, team office spaces, and function rooms.
The center offers in-person and virtual services such as cancer care, mental health and addiction care, end-of-life planning and care, and geriatric care.
Patients interested in going to Luther Court Community Health Center should register through the Health Connect Registry or call 811. The center is currently open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
