LeAnn Rimes relives her glory days.
On Friday, the 39-year-old singer recreated “Coyote Ugly” in a series of TikTok videos with Ava Max to promote Max’s upcoming single, “Million Dollar Baby.”

In the first video, Rhymes and Max are seen dancing on a table, similar to the movie starring Piper Perabo, Maria Bello, and others.

Max’s song is an insert of Rimes’ 2000 track “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” from the “Coyote Ugly” soundtrack.
The second video features Max and Rimes singing along to “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.”

In a 2020 interview with ET, Rimes shared how “Coyote Ugly” was important to her discovering her sexuality.
“I was 17. I was… this little innocent girl. Then… I went on set and was handed a chicken cutlet to put in my bra and was like, ‘Push it.’ …sexuality and being sexualized as a woman,” she said. “It was interesting. Nothing was embodied. “
Rimes continues: I was really acting at the time because I was still thinking all about myself. Now is another story. Now, if you put me in a bar, that’s a different story…Now with all my music, I’ve lived these songs, so I’ve had more embodied experiences. is now 38 and comes from a completely different place…I am drawing from my own life experience.
She added:I was kind of like “free” [at] Chains cut off from a teenage girl. It was appropriate. “
