CUPE Ontario education workers have set a new strike date of November 21st.

CUPE has rejected all of these offers, Lecce added.

CUPE-OSBCU President Laura Walton and National CUPE President Mark Hancock have scheduled a media conference at 10am.

Walton has previously said the government is proposing large wage increases for low-income earners and unions would not accept incremental wage increases.

Unions previously quit their jobs in protest after the Doug Ford administration introduced a bill to ban planned strikes and use charter exception clauses to impose contracts.

The Ford government on Monday repealed the law on the condition that education workers put an end to protests closing most classrooms to in-person learning in Ontario.
