NFP partners with pet insurance Petline

Property and casualty insurance broker NFP has announced a partnership with Petline Insurance Company, the pet health insurance subsidiary of Definity Insurance.

Through this partnership, NFP will be able to offer Canadian customers pet health insurance through Petline. According to the release, the new product complements NFP’s other personal offerings including motorcycles, horses, collector cars, boats, recreational vehicles, snowmobiles, travel and DigitalShield cyber protection.

“We are excited to partner with Petline to bring this amazing product to our pet owner clients to help protect the health of their pets,” said Greg Dunn, Managing Director, Personal Risk, NFP Canada. “We understand how important your pets are to you, and Petsecure provides the comprehensive coverage you deserve.”

According to the release, Petline’s flagship brand, Petsecure, offers a range of solutions to suit the specific needs of each individual pet. Pet health insurance plans include comprehensive accident and illness coverage with dental, alternative and preventive care, and behavioral therapy protection.

Last month, the NFP appointed Juliana Pelaez as the Mid-Market Leader for Management and Professional Responsibility Practices in Canada. Pelaez is responsible for building the firm’s advisory and insurance intermediation services model, reducing her risk exposure to executives in her segment of mid-market clients.
