Kamloops teen lifeless after falling into waterfall close to Revelstoke
15-year-old feminine fell into Akolkolex Falls
A Kamloops teenager is lifeless after falling into the Akolkolex Falls close to Revelstoke on Sunday (July 16).
In accordance with the RCMP, a 15-year-old feminine was climbing when she misplaced her footing on slippery rocks and fell into the Akolkolex Falls, about 30 kilometres south of Revelstoke.
Her stepfather dove into the water in an try to rescue her. Witnesses stated they didn’t see both of them resurface.
Revelstoke Search and Rescue, BC Ambulance, Revelstoke RCMP and the fireplace division responded.
A search and rescue helicopter crew positioned the stepfather, who was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.
The subsequent day, on July 17, the feminine was discovered lifeless by RCMP and search and rescue personnel.
The id of the feminine just isn’t being launched at the moment. The BC Coroners Service is investigating the incident.
