Kevin Spacey charged with four counts of sexual assault in the UK-nationwide

Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault against three men, the British prosecutor’s office said.

Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crimes Division, said CPS had approved the criminal accusation.

“He was also charged with engaging a person in permeable sexual activity without consent,” Ainsley said.

The indictment followed a one-year CPS review of Spacey’s case after the Metropolitan Police Department investigated and collected evidence. Spacey, 62, was cross-examined by British police in 2019.

“The public prosecutor’s office reminds all parties that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial.”

Last month, Spacey asked a New York judge to dismiss the sexual assault proceedings filed by actor Anthony Rapp, who was 14 at the time of alleged abuse. Many other allegations of Kevin Spacey’s sexual assault have been revealed in the last few years.
