Kelly Clarkson turns Christina Aguilera into a “beautiful” Kelly Clark cover

You can’t beat Kelly Clarkson in words.

At Friday’s “Kelly Clarkson Show,” the host performed a Kelly bag for Christina Aguilera’s iconic 2002 national anthem, “Beautiful.”

Clarkson remained faithful to the original version of the song, supported solely by the piano, and began things calmly before the full band came along for the song’s powerful bridge.

When the song was first released, it climbed the Billboard Hot 100, peaked in second place, and soon became accepted as a national anthem by members of the LGBTQ community.

Clarkson has covered Aguilera songs in the past, featuring “Just a Fool” and “What a Girl Wants” in her Kerok segment.

The host recently featured hits such as Harry Styles, Dua Lipa and Radiohead.
