Kailia Posey, child actor and GIF icon for “Toddlers & Tiaras”, dies at age 16

Kailia Posey, one of the children’s stars of “Toddlers & Tiaras”, has passed away. She was 16 years old.

Posey’s mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, confirmed her death on Facebook.

“I have no words or thoughts. The beautiful baby girl is gone,” she wrote with a photo of an adult Posey attending the prom.

“Please protect your privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby will be forever.”

Gutterman did not share the details of her daughter’s death.

Posey was one of the kids featured on the TLC reality show, following a family member who competed in a beauty pageant.

As Posey grew up, he continued on the pageant circuit, sharing photos of his recent wins on his Instagram page.

In January she announced that she was attending Miss Washington Teen USA.

She also touched on the talented body distortion she showed in “Toddlers & Tiaras” and recently shared a video of shooting a bow and arrow with her foot while doing a handstand.

One of the episodes of Toddlers & Tiaras, the grinning scene of 5-year-old Posey, has become one of the most popular GIFs on the Internet and is used frequently to this day.

Fans and friends share their memories and condolences on her Instagram account.

“I can’t even believe this happened. I hope you can overcome it. She was always very kind to all of us,” said Kadan, a rival to America’s Got Talent. Bert Rocket commented.

“Oh, sweet Kailia my heart will definitely break for you. I always remember you as a little cheerful pageant girl who always made everyone laugh,” another fan wrote.
