Jury Trial Deliberation in Jacob Hogard’s Sexual Assault Trial Enters Day 4

Toronto — The jury will continue its fourth day of deliberation in the sexual assault trial of Canadian musician Jacob Hoggard, lead singer of band Hedley.
On Thursday, a jury told the court that a unanimous agreement could not be reached on “some” counts, but was instructed to continue deliberations, asked questions, and gave the testimony of one witness. I considered it.
Hogard, 37, pleaded not guilty to two cases of sexual assault that caused physical harm and one case of sexual interference pointing to the sexual contact of someone under the age of 16.

Jacob Hogard’s sexual assault trial jury continues to deliberate after reporting a deadlock
Crown claims that Hogard raped teenage fans and young Ottawa women violently and repeatedly in separate incidents in the fall of 2016.
It further claims that he groped for a teenager after the April 2016 Hedley show when she was 15.
The defense claimed that no groping had occurred, and both sexual encounters reached an agreement.
