Jenna Bush Hager says Kim Kardashian’s daughter Northwest birthday party was “Over the Top”

Jenna Bush Hager apparently isn’t a big fan of luxury open displays.

At Friday’s “Today” show, the host discussed Kim Kardashian’s Instagram photos from his daughter Northwest’s recent 9th birthday party.

“I have a 9 year old kid, but she didn’t have a party like this because it was all top,” Bush introduced the photo.

As the photo shows, the party was called the “Camp North” sleepover party and began with a private jet flight into the wilderness with an adventurous canopy walk, tent beds, water pipes and more.

Bush, daughter of former US President George W. Bush, said: She said, “Don’t even have a party,” and I said, “It’s kind of rude.” She said, “No, no, no. Lower their expectations. Otherwise, do you think you’re above the top at 3 and what they want at 16.?”

Her co-host Michelle Buteau, on behalf of Hoda Cot, agreed that the party was “luxury and extravagant,” but she could be a “low-budget version.” I admitted.
