The assay confirmed the existence of an extensive hypomineralization system at the Omu mine site, which is part of the 100% controlled Omu Au-Ag vein project in Omu, Hokkaido.

Summary of high-grade vein interception and submineralization system at Omui mine site:

  • Significant venous interception from West Honpi extension:
    • 21OMI-001:
      • 10.41 gptAu and 13.48 gptAg (10.58 gpt Au eq) within 3.80 m
      • 7.30 gptAu and 10.15 gptAg (7.43 gpt Au eq) within 7.05 m
      • 5.59 gpt Au and 8.25 gpt Ag (5.70 gpt Au eq) over 10.20 m
    • 21OMI-002:
      • 15.92 gptAu and 25.50 gptAg (16.24 gpt Au eq) 3.95 m and above and
      • 10.86 gpt Au and 8.44 gpt Ag (10.97 gpt Au eq) within 2.36 m
      • 11.19 gpt Au and 15.51 gpt Ag (11.38 gpt Au eq) within 8.55 m
      • 9.70 gpt Au and 13.98 gpt Ag (9.88 gpt Au eq) over 9.90 m
  • The section of Nishimotomine shown above is located about 45 m west of the collapsed structure of the historic mainline (“main vein” in Japanese), and this important vein is located along the west and depth strikes. It clearly shows that it is open (Figures 1 and 2). The true width is estimated to be 7.6m to 7.8m near this surface. This is an attractive target given that Irving is looking for precious metal-rich silica flux materials. The weighted average gradients of these two sections, located a few meters apart, are 7.61gptAu and 11.07gptAg (7.74gpt Au eq) at 7.7m.
  • As reported in our news release dated December 13, 2021, Hole 21 OMI-002 is a series of thick sinters sandwiched between various sedimentary rocks and pyroclastic rocks, starting about 200 m above the surface of the earth. I encountered a quality sintered rock (Fig. 2).
  • When the hot spring fluid rises to the surface and flows out across the pool or terrace, where a mineral layer (silica in this case) is deposited, a sintered body is formed. Irving believes that the old hot springs, the origin of this sinter, were suddenly buried during activity, as the sinter package originates deep and is buried beneath the pyroclastic layer. Later, a stream of rhyolite covered the area.
  • The sintered layer of the holes in 21OMI-002 contains a significant amount of Au and Ag (Table 1), strongly indicating that this is a fertile hot spring system. Individual sample spacings are analyzed at heights of 3.55 gptAu and 565 gptAg. Pathfinder elements such as arsenic, antimony, mercury and selenium are also very abundant in these rocks.
  • Irving believes that the structure that hosts Hongpi is the feeder for this lower spa system and can host important high-grade Au-Ag veins. Drill testing in this area is a very high priority for Irving.
  • Our 2022 diamond drill campaign has recently started. Three holes are designed for immediate testing of this deep system. The holes for NNE, colored in the approximately 360m SSW of holes 22OMI-001, 21OMI-001 and 21OMI-002, are currently at a depth of approximately 335m and in multiple mineralization veins from 270m to the current depth. I have encountered it. Ginglo, a band of silver sulphate minerals, is evident in some veins. The target depth is 700m, about 600m below the surface of the water.
  • Irving says that the environment of Hongpi is Furuta del Norte (“FDN”) Deposit in Ecuador. The buried sinter cap of the FDN system is found under a post-mineral cover about 200 m, and vein deposition occurs just below the sinter.

The above results do not necessarily represent the mineralization of the entire Omui mine site.

All samples described in this news release are 1/2 split sewing diamond core samples. Irving submitted a sample to ALS Global in Vancouver, Canada for analysis.
