Dell Technologies and Red Hat Expand Partnership to Accelerate DevOps in Multicloud Environments

Dell today announced an extension of its longstanding partnership with Red Hat, a leading provider of open source software products, to simplify the deployment and management of on-premises containerized infrastructure in multi-cloud environments.

“This collaboration will simplify how organizations navigate the changing dynamics of enterprise IT, allowing IT teams to build applications not just once for on-premises deployments, but wherever they are needed across open hybrid clouds.” It allows us to maintain the agility to execute,” says Ashish. Badani, his senior vice president and head of product at Red Hat, said:

New solutions include:

Dell APEX Container for Red Hat OpenShift

This collaboration will enable IT (information technology) organizations and their developers to take advantage of on-premises Container-as-a-Service solutions on Dell infrastructure, fully managed by Dell. This means customers can meet their developer needs without having to build and manage their own physical infrastructure. Delivered as a subscription, this new solution also comes with an assigned APEX Customer Success Manager who will assist customers throughout their APEX experience.

Dell Validated Platforms for Red Hat OpenShift

Powered by Intel, this partnership streamlines the deployment and management of on-premises infrastructure for container orchestration and provides configuration guidance while improving DevOps productivity. Customers can extend their IT agility by getting their on-premises infrastructure up and running predictably while their Red Hat OpenShift environment runs predictably on infrastructure defined by Dell PowerFlex software.

New hybrid cloud solution

Dell and Red Hat co-engineer a hybrid cloud solution that extends the management of on-premises Red Hat OpenShift deployments across the public cloud and edge. This automated infrastructure uses Dell software to deliver full stack integration of Red Hat OpenShift, giving you the flexibility of the cloud.

Dell is also working with Red Hat’s parent organization, IBM, to provide customers with additional visibility and actionable insight options across the entire stack, from infrastructure to business applications. Both companies also offer artificial intelligence (AIOps) for IT operations and intelligent automation capabilities for hybrid cloud solutions.
