Over 100 racers from across the state participated in the competition.

“It’s like being a boy again, like a kid walking around in gravel and mud,” said Colin Funk of Vancouver, British Columbia.

For most of the competitors, it was all smiles after the race. Sam Garber of Victoria, BC won the Men’s Open.

“You get multiple laps to go through every section, and you get to try every section over and over to challenge yourself,” Garber said.

Our next stop is the Canadian Cyclocross National Championship on Vancouver Island, just north of Saanich, November 25-27.
