Homicide Detectives Investigate After Bodies Found in Central Edmonton Camp – Edmonton

The death of a man whose body was found at a central Edmonton encampment on Tuesday is now being investigated by homicide investigators, police said.

In a news release issued Tuesday night, Edmonton police say the death is considered “suspicious”.

Police responded to reports that a body was found near the 95th and 106th Street boardwalks and LRT tracks at 2:36 p.m., EPS said.

Police said the death was initially reported to the city’s encampment team by an unidentified man.

“Detectives would like to speak to this man, who may have information that may help the investigation, and are asking him to turn himself in to the police.”

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
