The Surrey RCMP was called in to report a shooting that occurred in the 2600 block on 176th Street at approximately 12:30 am.
A home in South Surrey was shot at shortly after midnight on Sunday, a car was driven away and it is believed to have been set on fire about 5km away.

“Within minutes of the initial report of shootings, the Surrey RCMP received reports of a vehicle completely engulfed in flames near 28th Street and 194A Street,” Const said. Gerbinder gag on release.
The arson vehicle was found to have been reported stolen from Kelowna, and given the timing and proximity of the two incidents, police believe it must be related to the shooting.
Police are investigating the area, seeking surveillance footage and more witnesses.
Investigators “believe the shootings were targeted and are investigating their links to gang conflicts in the Lower Mainland,” Gag said.
