HDI Global SE Announces New Leaders and Structures
HDI Global SE has announced a new team role as part of its Underwriting Transformation initiative for insurers.
Changes include integrating the company’s portfolio management team into its real estate line. Leading the focus department is Dr. Carsten Schulte, who succeeds Walter Garhammer, a veteran of HDI Global. The latter is retiring after 35 years in the business and is credited with his “outstanding” contributions.
Previously involved in real estate portfolio operations, Schulte will join the Natural Catastrophes and Product and Policy Operations teams, as well as divisions across the newly combined Real Estate, Engineering and Marine divisions of Portfolio Operations, led by Alexander Klein. Demonstrate overall leadership.
“We are creating a hub to facilitate knowledge sharing between teams and pool their expertise,” said Schulte, reporting to board member Claire McDonald. “This structure in our portfolio operations allows us to learn from each other and share to a greater extent.”
McDonald’s believes the move will provide improved and more consistent support for its HDI global branches, as well as accelerate initiatives designed to optimize the company’s global underwriting performance.
