Elon Musk has secured new funding to buy Twitter, Tesla will make record profits in the first quarter of 2022, and CNN + will shut down just three weeks after launch.

Elon Musk doesn’t seem to have finished pursuing Twitter. Tesla and SpaceX CEOs have confirmed that they have secured new funding to take over the social platform. The new large $ 46.5 billion fund is categorized into $ 21 billion equity finance, $ 12.5 billion bank margin loans, and $ 13 billion other bank loans. Musk appears to be considering extending the tender offer, which directly invites shareholders to sell their shares at a specific time and price, with new funding. How things unfold is still in the air.Submission of Mask to the Stock Exchange The Commission wrote that there is no guarantee that the final agreement will be implemented.

In other Elon news, Tesla is rolling with money. Despite supply chain constraints and production delays in China, the company sold 310,000 vehicles and made a profit of $ 3.3 billion in the first quarter of 2022. The company’s revenue is now $ 18.7 billion, a staggering 81% year-over-year increase. The company earned $ 679 million in emissions credit sales to other automakers, more than double last year. Part of the funds was used to expand production capacity. The company has opened two new factories in Berlin and Texas almost in a row. The cost of these new factories is expected to drag Tesla’s financial statements this quarter, The Verge reported.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s new streaming service, CNN +, will shut down less than a month after it starts. The service launched on March 29 and has gained 150,000 subscribers in the next three weeks. The numbers were impressive, but far below expectations. The number of simultaneous users was about 10,000. Therefore, Warner Bros Discovery has decided to stop the service. All marketing budgets have also been suspended. CNN + retirees will receive a minimum of 6 months of severance pay, depending on how long they have worked at CNN.

The Taliban have announced a ban on TikTok to mislead the younger generation. The ban announced by the Afghan Cabinet also included the popular PC and mobile game PUBG. This is just a long list of entertainment that the Taliban has blacklisted since taking power in Afghanistan. The group also bans music, movies and television soap opera. Strict control over the country’s media left its inhabitants with few leisure options. Television shows are nothing more than news and religious content.
