Halle Bailey shares BTS seeing “color purple” as she wraps the shoot

This is a summary of another Hale Bailey project. The 22-year-old went to Instagram on Thursday to announce that the filming of “The Color Purple” was officially finished and shared some behind-the-scenes views.
“And that’s a rap for me in’Color Purple’,” Bailey capped in a gallery of photos and videos showing her time on the adaptation of the Broadway musical director Blitz Bazaur’s film. “I am very grateful for this experience. In the last year and a half, the second major movie has been completed. God is very good. Here are some of my favorite moments without showing too much. I have.”

On the slides are a photo of Bailey hugging and receiving flowers from film producer Oprah Winfrey, an actress stroking a horse, a photo of her hair trimming, and a lush Georgia shot by Productions. Contains photos of the location of. Bailey also shared a video of the moment she finished her last scene. Bazaul called it Rap and she received a flower from Winfrey. Co-stars Colman Domingo and Filicia Mupasi appear in one photo, and Bailey’s cat Poseidon appears in a slide showing Bailey’s trailer.
The actress’s friends and co-stars shared love in replying to her post. Domingo writes: Wrap my happy friends. You were very nice. i adore you. “

The film, which began filming in Georgia in March, is produced by Steven Spielberg and Winfrey. Spielberg directed a 1985 film of the same name starring Winfrey.
Danielle Brooks and Fantasia Barino will star with Bailey as Sophia and Serie, respectively. The rest of the star-studded cast includes Domingo as Mr. Mupashi as Young Serie, Taraji P. Henson as Shaguary, Corey Hawkins as Harpo, HER as Squeak, and Louis Gossett as Olmister. Includes Junior, David Alan Grier as Rev. Avery, Tamera J. Mann as First Lady, Ciara as Adult Netty, Deon Call as Alfonso, Steven Hill as Buster.
ET spoke with Bailey on the red carpet at the BET Awards on Sunday. So she talked a bit about the time when she filmed her musical adaptation.
“I’m supposed to be rapped next week, so I crossed my fingers and did it. I had a great time,” she was surprised. “I pinch myself every day on that set … to be part of a historic movie that we all know is growing.”
“It’s like,’Wow, what can we do to make this even bigger than it already is,'” she added. “It’s a great base and I’m grateful to be able to participate in the entire project.”
ET also spoke with Henson on the red carpet, which hosted the BET Awards for the second year in a row. The 51-year-old shared some behind-the-scenes details about her role...
“No one thinks it’s ready, it’s beautiful,” Henson said of the musical shoot. “We’re not done yet. We’re still working. After this, we need to go back, but I don’t think anyone is ready. It blows me what we put in cans every day. It’s a great cinematography. “
Henson said there was something “special” in working with the movie set, likened to the experience of filming “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “The Hidden Person.”

“It’s magic, it’s the only way I can put it,” Henson said of production. “Blitz’s vision is so magnificent that I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a black man look so beautiful.”
She continued. “Even when it wasn’t beautiful for blacks, there’s still beauty and joy. It’s not that heavy, it’s depressed, it’s traumatic, you know, it’s really the darkest place for blacks. Even about how miraculously you can find joy. “
“The Color Purple” will be released on December 20, 2023.
