Wendy Williams makes first public speech about marriage since leaving wellness facility

To Mona Khalife, ETOnline.com.

Wendy Williams made her first public appearance since leaving a wellness facility in October to talk about marriage and what she wants in a partner. “I can’t wait to fall in love,” Williams said during a conversation at the former radio station’s annual WBLS Circle of Sisters event.

“I would never deny it. The first thing I think when I look at men is, ‘Do they have fingers on?’ Greetings to you, I love… I can’t wait to fall in love and I don’t want to get married. In a video posted by WBLS, I wish he was somewhere around my age, maybe 10 years younger than me, maybe 15 years older than me. For example, if you suddenly want to get on a plane from New York City, if you want to fly to France, if you want to stay in France for two days, if you want to eat food, etc., I wish I could, you know. As it turns out, I was able to qualify with a guy called “Come on baby.” let’s do it. Are we flying privately or are we flying public?”

Williams’ comments on her marriage came nearly three years after she finalized her divorce from Kevin Hunter in January 2020. The couple, who have been married for 21 years and have a 22-year-old son, Kevin Jr., cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. Much of their breakup speculates that their relationship went downhill after it was discovered that Hunter had fathered a child with another woman.

The 58-year-old TV personality stepped outside for the first time since receiving treatment at a wellness facility earlier this year and was smiling at Monday night’s event. fuzzy boots, a long houndstooth coat, and a black purse.

After the appearance, Sean Zanotti, the former talk show host’s publicist, told ET: In her stepping away and focusing on herself, she is gracefully returning to what she loves. ”

Zanotti shared an update on Williams in October, and she entered a wellness facility in August. After she was released, she told ET EXCLUSIVELY that she was “staying home and healing,” noting that Williams has been taking care of her health in recent months.

Speaking about what’s next for the former talk show host, Zanotti said she already has some iron on the career front, adding, “Wendy is excited about the road ahead and plans to pursue her many projects. We look forward to releasing it.

After his release, Williams also sent a sweet message to supporters: “Thank you to all my fans for their love, support and prayers. I am back and better than ever.” I told you.

Zanotti first confirmed Williams entered the facility in September, saying in a statement at the time: Wendy Experience podcast. Williams is being treated by the world’s best team of doctors. We ask for your prayers and best wishes during this time. ”

No official diagnosis has been released for Williams’ symptoms, which include non-linear speech, brain fog, memory loss, and hallucinations, but she has been open about her battle with Graves’ disease and lymphedema in the past.
