Geri Halliwell’s brother Max died at the age of 54.

according to ManMax died in the intensive care unit on Tuesday after a sudden collapse at his home in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England.

“As you can imagine, this is a difficult time and we ask you to respect the privacy of your family at this time,” a Hariwell representative said in a statement.

Sun Previously, a former communications manager at Mitsubishi Electric Living Environmental Systems UK reported that he was taken to Watford General Hospital after being found at home.

A spokeswoman for the Hertfordshire Police Department said in a statement to the publication:

“The officer attended the scene with the East of England paramedics. The man was found and taken to a hospital for treatment, where he sadly died later.

“His death is treated as unquestionable and will be referred to a coroner.”

Halliwell was in the Middle East with his husband, Christian Horner, the principal of the Formula One British team. He was preparing for the Qatar Grand Prix when she learned of her brother’s condition.

Max previously appeared in “Piers Morgan’s Life Story” in a 2010 interview with his sister, talking about his brother and his deceased father, Lawrence, who died in 1993.

The pair also has an older sister Natalie.
