Georgian Bluffs extends volunteer award nomination deadline

Georgian Bluffs has extended the deadline for nominations for its annual volunteer awards until the end of the year.

Nominations are open in three categories until Dec. 31, including Youth Volunteer of the Year, Senior Volunteer of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.

“From sports and recreation , to community organizations and service groups, volunteers are an essential part of our community,” it said in a news release from the township. “Nominating a dedicated volunteer who donates time and effort to making Georgian Bluffs a great place to live is a meaningful way to show appreciation for their hard work.”

The awards will be presented to the recipients at an upcoming council meeting, the release said.
