Fritz Hager was unable to advance to the “American Idol” stage scheduled for Sunday after being infected with COVID-19, but still surprised the judges.
Hager performed a spectacular performance of the original song “All My Friends”. The show aired a rehearsal before Hager made a video call to the show.

Hager then surprised her mother with a song about her family dedicated to her grandmother, entitled “The Sea” on Mother’s Day.

On Sunday, Christian Guardino and Jay Copeland were eliminated and couldn’t make it into the top five.
