Former reality star Josh Dagger returned to federal court on Wednesday, where a judge sentenced him to 12.5 years in prison for child pornography.

Judge Timothy L. Brooks sentenced Dagger to a total of 151 months in prison.

The prosecutor had asked Dagger to imprison him for up to 20 years, but his lawyer demanded him five years in prison.

According to People magazine, Dagger’s father Jim Bob and his wife Anna were sitting in the front row of court when the sentence was handed down.

According to the publication, he often turned to his wife and smiled when he wasn’t taking notes on Wednesday.

Federal officials said a Little Rock police detective began an investigation after discovering that child pornographic files were being shared by a computer tracked by Dagger. Federal agents testified that images depicting sexual abuse of children, including infants, were downloaded to the computer of a Duggar-owned car dealership in 2019.

Duggar’s lawyer claimed that someone else downloaded or uploaded the image to Duggar’s computer. But the jury wasn’t upset.

Dagger’s father, Jim Bob Dagger, who also appeared on reality shows, is running for a special election in a vacant state Senate in northwestern Arkansas, and the primary for that race is Tuesday. He used to work for the Arkansas House.
