In court, Crown read out a statement of agreed facts that Grantham had shot his mother in the back of the head while she was playing the piano.

The next day, he loaded his car with guns, ammunition, Molotov cocktails, camping gear, and a map to Rideau Cottage in Ottawa, where Trudeau lives.

According to the documents, Grantham told police about killing Trudeau when he was arrested, and he wrote about it in his diary.

In the days leading up to his mother’s death, Grantham recorded himself on camera and appeared to walk in between the murders. The video was released in court.

The actor recently appeared as Jeffrey Augustine on BC Shot’s CW TV show ‘Riverdale’ and has a long list of credits including ‘The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘iZombie’.
