Callers also reported being able to see things “explode”.
The crew called for a working fire even before their arrival, as they could see the flames from afar.
They launched a defensive attack given the spread of flames and fuel sources within the building, but the two outside diesel tanks also needed “constant cooling”.
With no fire hydrants nearby, firefighters brought water to the scene in tank trucks.
3:14 a.m. Fire extinguished
A fire investigator was dispatched to investigate the cause.
