Man threatened with knife during robbery on Toronto’s GO train: police

Toronto police are scrambling to identify a suspect who allegedly threatened a man with a knife after a robbery occurred on a GO train bound for Union Station.

Police said the suspect boarded Train Cart 2705 at Eglinton Station on the Lakeshore East Line shortly after 11:15 pm on November 18.

Investigators said the suspect sat next to another man and asked for his mobile phone while pressing the blade of the knife against the victim.

Police released security images of the suspect on Thursday.

The suspect is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, 145 pounds, of medium build, and with a golden tooth in the upper left corner of his mouth. He wore a black hoodie, black trousers, brown boots with white fur and carried his camouflage backpack.
