Father died and son arrested on suspicion of family conflict in Montreal

Montreal police say the man died after being involved in what he described as a family dispute with his son.

Police said he received a phone call about a 62-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed in a house at the northern end of the city around 5:30 am on Friday.

The unidentified man was taken to the hospital and later died of an injury.

The victim’s 21-year-old son was arrested and detained on the scene.

Marianne Allard Morin, a spokesperson for the Montreal police, said police officers have still met witnesses and have not been charged yet.

The murder case has been reported in Montreal for the twelfth time since the beginning of the year.
