The party is just getting started, with fans from all over the country flooding the Queen City in anticipation.

For another Blue Bomber fan, this is as much a time to be with friends as it is to go to the CFL’s biggest game.

“The games are great, but it’s the festivals and the people that draw us here.”

The 19+ team party room with a purchased pass fills up on Fridays and draws fans every year.

The chorus of “Let’s Go Bombers” and “Let’s Go Argonauts” can be heard throughout the festival as fans anticipate the big game.

One fan who isn’t specifically rooting for either team, but is excited to be at the Gray Cup event, is Regina Mayor Sandra Masters.

“People were out and about celebrating the Gray Cup itself. It’s great to see that,” Masters said. “And that’s what I think. It’s about bringing the community together.”

She says seeing all the CFL jerseys in one place is something to remember.

Masters said, “I’m so impressed with how happy everyone is and getting the news that people are coming from all over the country. I know we’re a great host city, so it’s been great. is.

She hopes the Gray Cup will be one way people can come together in a time when many people feel divided.

“I think we really need it in terms of connections, but we also need connections within our own communities, but also with the rest of the country,” Masters explained.

When asked what color she wears on Sundays, the only correct answer was Saskatchewan.

“I wear green.”

109th The Gray Cup kicks off on Sunday, November 20th at 5pm CST.
