“Extraordinary” Stanley Tucci reveals Naomi Ackie’s performance in her next Whitney Houston biography

Stanley Tucci talks about the long-awaited new Whitney Houston biography “I want to dance with someone.”
Tucci is a movie to be released later this year, depicting legendary music executive Clive Davis.
“I was fortunate to meet Davis,” Tucci recalled in an interview with ET Canada. “I had an hour zoom call and met him before I started shooting. He visited the set – he’s a very funny person!”

The Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actors say they worked on “one of the best times ever” for the next flick. “It’s a really beautiful movie,” he continued. “It’s obviously a tragic story, but I think it was handled really well with a great director.”
Tucci also discussed the portrayal of Houston in Naomi Ackie’s biography. “I have to say she’s extraordinary, so I can’t wait for the performance to be put together. She’s incredible,” he said.
Season 2 of “Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy” will appear on the screen on May 1st, this time around the age of 61, visiting an unexpected city.
“We had an episode in London, England because COVID made it difficult to travel,” he explained. “Also, London is home to so many Italians and has a very strong Italian food culture that made us embarrassed by our wealth.”

Tucci has been a guest judge for this year’s Diageo World Class Canada Competition in Montreal. In this competition, bartenders across the country demonstrated their bartender and hosting techniques in front of the industry’s most respected and talented drink specialists. The selected Canadian winner will advance to the world-class Global Finals.
Tanqueray No. TEN Jin’s ambassador, Tucci, said he would judge his competitors for “imagination, style, execution and taste.”
Tucci likes to keep it simple, pointing out that nothing beats “great vodka or gin martini” when it comes to his favorite cocktails.
The “Devil Wears Prada” star also shared his views on the Canadian food scene.

“Canadian food is great,” he added. “I started working here about 35 years ago, and I always loved to come back. I’ve been to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver many times. The food scene is great and The produce was great too. I think I had a poutine long ago when I was here. I have to start over! “
