Ewan McGregor is the last hope of the new “Obi-Wan Kenobi” trailer that gives Darth Vader the first glance

Without the new Star Wars content, it wouldn’t be May 4th.

Today, Disney + has announced a trailer for the long-awaited “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series. Ewan McGregor replayed his prestigious role with Canadian star Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader. Fans first see Kristensen returning as Darth Vader in a new trailer, see a close-up of his iconic outfit, and hear his characteristic violent breathing.

According to Disney, the story of the six-episode series begins ten years after the dramatic event of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” in which Obi-Wan Kenobi (McGregor) faced the worst victory. His best friend and Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker (Kristensen) turned to the dark side as the evil Lord Darth Vader of the Sith.

Participating in the cast are Uncle Owen, Moses Ingram, Bonnie Pies, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessel, and Joel Edgerton. All six episodes of the Disney + series are directed by Deborah Chow in Toronto.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” will be premiered on Friday, May 27th at Disney + Limited, and will include the first two episodes. Following the premiere, the series will be streamed every Wednesday and will continue until the finale on Wednesday, June 22nd.
