in an interview with peoplethe 45-year-old actor shares how the infamous crying meme of “Dawson’s Creek” even invaded his family’s life.

“We had an iPad for online learning and they immediately found a meme.

He recalled sending his 12-year-old daughter “Make one of me dance or something,” but she had a better daughter.

“She immediately cried and hit me,” laughed Van der Beek. “I thought, ‘That’s offensive.'”
