The Dunlora Plantation is haunted by two ghosts. Slavery, and second, perhaps by witches who killed some Boy Scouts.

Legend has it that in 1920, a group of six Boy Scouts and their Scoutmaster got lost while hiking in the woods around Charlottesville. They inadvertently wander into a witch’s property and set up camp for the night.The scout captain was awakened by a noise in the middle of the night After checking on the boys, their tent was empty. He began searching by calling their names in the middle of the night, but could find no trace of them. Then he saw a light in the distance in the woods. He followed it and arrived at an abandoned mansion on Dunlora Plantation. Crazy, the Scoutmaster ran.down the road, when he turned around, he saw all six children standing still by the roadside, staring at him. Their stomachs were torn open. He fell and went mad. The boys were later found in the tent, dead and disemboweled.

A few weeks later, seven fully grown trees appeared on the road to the plantation. According to legend, each straight tree contains the soul of a boy imprisoned by a witch. The seventh was the Scoutmaster, his soul forever warped.

Dunlora is now a private community of wealthy descendants of slaves. master and maybe witchand they are haunted by teenagers who drive through the community in the middle of the night looking for a mansion and seven trees.
