Livestreamed at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, Elton John’s concert was heralded as his final North American gig before heading overseas to wrap up his sprawling Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
But just days later, Sir Elton wowed New York City fans with a brief performance on Fifth Avenue to mark the annual unveiling of the iconic retailer Saks’ iconic holiday window display.
After a brief self-introduction, the festive music began to play as the “Rocketman” singer was transported by golf cart to the covered front stage and took a seat behind the grand piano.

After thanking Sachs for donating $1 million to Rocket Fund AIDS charity, her husband David Furnish and their twin sons joined in to help countdown the big announcements for this year’s window display.
So, he began to ring ivory, playing the familiar opening notes of “Your Song”, accompanied by piano, san band.

“Happy Christmas everyone!” he exclaimed as the song ended, starting a spectacular light show of lights and fireworks.
