Scarce City Launches Bitcoin E-Commerce Platform SatsCrap – Bitcoin Magazine
According to a release sent to Bitcoin Magazine, Bitcoin-focused marketplace Scarce City has launched a marketplace to sell anything in exchange for Bitcoin known as SatsCrap.
SatsCrap allows users to list or purchase products using Bitcoin, thus maintaining user privacy. Anyone with an internet-connected device can list or purchase products for which Know Your Customer (KYC) data is not collected. Marketplace does not use logins, bank accounts, or registration processes.
Chris Tramount, Chief Executive Officer of Scarce City, SatsCrap’s parent company, said: “Sending a small amount of bitcoin as collateral is much easier than creating an account and linking a bank account.”
Additionally, SatsCrap is celebrating the holiday season and its launch with a 5% discount on purchases and listings through Cyber Monday, November 28th.
The Scarce City team has already sold 250 BTC worth of Bitcoin-based products on their platform and hopes to use SatsCrap to extend their expertise to a wider market.
“The bitcoin holder base is as strong as ever. Bitcoin enthusiasts in developed countries have not been able to accumulate enough of it, and people in hyperinflationary countries are increasingly relying on bitcoin to buy their necessities.” Tramount said. “We believe the time has come to step out of our niche and expand Bitcoin’s global circular economy.”
According to the release, the team behind SatsCrap wants to offer a unique experience by simplifying the listing process and allowing vendors to sell Bitcoin at the lowest rates on the internet.
