September 25th Mayor’s Debate, September 26th City Council Meeting

The Victoria Downtown Residents Association is hosting two events this month to give locals the chance to hear from candidates running in the next local elections.

The Not Your Average Election Debate takes place on September 25th from 2-4pm at The Vic Theater (808 Douglas St.), where the mayoral candidates answer questions about life downtown. The venue is wheelchair accessible and discussions will be live-streamed using captioning services available to in-person and online attendees.

Then, on September 26th, an all-candidates forum will be held at The Atrium (800 Yates St.) from 7-9pm. This café-style event allows residents to mingle with Victorian City Council candidates. Participants are invited to rotate a series of discussion tables associated with specific topics relevant to downtown residents.
