The city held its first Christmas-themed market a year ago, and it was a huge success, even though it was held during the pandemic.

This year’s market opens on Friday (December 2nd) at 4pm in Dorval Village with the arrival of Santa and the traditional tree lighting ceremony from 6pm to 6:30pm. The Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held in the Tulip Crossroads parking lot. and Dawson Street.
From 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Danny Pouliot entertains the crowd with Christmas favorites.Market closes at 9pm
The market is open during the first three weekends of December. Each week has a different theme: ‘North Pole’ from December 2-4 and ‘Candy Wonderland’ from December 9-11. “Last Christmas” from December 16th to 18th.

At the Dorval Holiday Market, which runs through December 18, local artisans and vendors sell their wares in wooden cabins displayed in the parking lot.
“Inspired by European markets, this outdoor site showcases local artisans, products and delicious finds all in an inviting atmosphere enhanced by beautiful lighting, background music and small wooden cabins that serve as merchant booths. I’ll introduce you,” the city pointed out.
The city also encourages visitors to bring their own reusable bags for shopping.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to West Island Community Shares.
In addition, food donation destinations will be set up at designated locations. Items that are dropped off will be donated to the city’s Community Aid and distributed to residents of Dorval in need.
The city has three parking options. Municipal parking lot on Martin Ave. Along Dawson Avenue, between Dahlia Avenue and George V Avenue, or in surrounding streets if road signs permit.
The city said disabled parking spaces will be added to Tulip Avenue.
The market is open three days a week. Friday from 4pm to 9pm. Saturday noon to 9pm.and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
