DoorDash working with Loblaw on new grocery delivery service

Loblaw Cos. Ltd. and food delivery company Door Dash Inc. today announced a collaboration to bring rapid grocery delivery services to Canadian customers.

Customers can order items from Loblaws retailers such as Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, and Shoppers Drug Mart and deliver them from DoorDash within 30 minutes.

Collaboration begins in major Canadian cities such as Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.

Loblaw already has a grocery delivery partnership with Instacart, but the 30-minute delivery time is dedicated to DoorDash.

The deal begins with DoorDash’s share price on the New York Stock Exchange dropping more than 60% from its November highs.

The financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed.
