Employees reject MPI’s newest supply as prolonged strike continues – Winnipeg

The MPI strike lasting greater than two months will proceed after the union representing the employees rejected a proposal from the employer Monday.

MGEU members voting “overwhelmingly” to show down the supply, based on union president Kyle Ross.

“Our members have spoken, and after 9 weeks on the picket line, they’re standing agency of their combat for equity,” Ross mentioned.

The strike has been going since August 28 and the union is requesting MPI return to the bargaining desk as quickly as attainable. In the meantime, picketing will resume Tuesday.
