Man charged in Oshawa machete assault

A 44-year-old man has been charged with a number of expenses following a machete assault in Oshawa final week.

The incident occurred on June 7 close to Bond Road East and Simcoe Road North.

Durham County Police mentioned officers had been dispatched to the scene shortly after 3:00 p.m. on a name to the stabbing. There, they discovered a person with a non-life-threatening stab wound.

The sufferer, recognized solely by police as a 49-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital. It’s now recovering.

The suspect fled to a close-by condominium after the incident. Police mentioned officers had overwhelmed the pressure and arrested him with out incident.

Duane Fedy of Oshawa was charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a hid weapon, and possession of a harmful weapon.
