Even if you’re ready to toast the event, it’s very difficult to go to a party in Cannes.
Diplo was denied attendance at the Cannes Film Festival party he was hired to perform because the guards couldn’t recognize him and his name wasn’t found on the guest list.
On Monday, Grammy award winners shared a video showing that he was denied attendance at the party.

“I was booked to DJ a yacht party in Cannes, but security didn’t accept me,” 43-year-old Diplo shares in an Instagram video. “The yacht was empty, so I was going to take L and go get a meal …”
The video shows a woman trying to help Diplo join the party, but the guards aren’t convinced yet. “Fortunately, the owner passed by and let me in …” Diplo said in the video.
“The next time I add myself to the guest list,” Diplo joked about his trials in the video.
Diplo was in Cannes and supported the new Elvis Presley biography “Elvis” featuring his music on the soundtrack.
