David Letterman feels the pain that many parents face.
Letterman’s only son, 18-year-old Harry Joseph Letterman, sailed to college on Tuesday. Letterman, 75, had a harder transition than expected.

“Today is one month without him. We had a truckload of junk to carry to his room. And his room isn’t as big as a desk.”
Letterman detailed one of his first funny conversations with his son after settling into his new surroundings.
