Netflix does not broadcast Dave Chappelle’s on-stage attacks.
Chapel was playing at the Hollywood Bowl during a set at the Netflix Is AJoke Festival on Tuesday night when 23-year-old Isaiah Lee rushed to the floor.
according to Hollywood ReporterThe lineup decision was not due to assault.
The publication states: “Streamer revealed before the festival that the four sold-out Hollywood Bowl shows of comedians were not recorded as special.
“Chapelle had his own camera to shoot the show. This is what comics often do when creating new material (as Chapel did). Attack Pro The footage shot by the camera is likely to exist and may eventually see the light of day in some way, but that’s not part of Netflix’s plans. “

Bill Barr, Amy Schumer, Pete Davidson, Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin are among the comedians with the specials included in the lineup.

Since then, Chapel has been joking about the attack. He recently joined Chris Rock on stage at the comedy store Berry Room, a smaller 70-seat venue separate from the main stage area of the famous Hollywood comedy club.
“At least you were attacked by a reputable person!” Chapel told Rock, referring to Will Smith’s infamous Oscar slap. “I was attacked by a homeless man with leaves in his hair.”
